Where I work

IT Support & Strategy is hands-on work, so it stays close to home: Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Washington DC, and the rest of Northern Virginia and the DC Metro area. If I need to be standing in your server closet, I can be there.

Home & Personal IT, AI & Automation, and Web & Software run entirely remote, so I take those clients anywhere in the country. Training & Education and Strategic Advisory work either way: in person around Northern Virginia and DC, or remote if that suits you better.

Common Questions

How much does IT support cost in the DC Metro area?

IT support starts with a conversation about what you need, not a price sheet. Hourly support is available with no contracts or minimums. Managed plans are scoped to your business size, number of users, and what you actually use. Every engagement starts with a free assessment so I can tell you what matters and what doesn't before you spend anything.

What AI services does Griffin Atlas offer?

AI services start with a structured readiness assessment covering whether your data is organized enough to support AI, whether your infrastructure can handle it, and whether your team is ready to adopt it. From there, I scope workflow automation, custom AI tool development, and team training. I work with Claude, GPT, Copilot, Ollama, Mistral, and open-source models. The AI concierge on this site, Janus, is a working example of what I build.

Do you work with individuals or just businesses?

Both. Home & Personal IT covers PC and Mac troubleshooting, home network setup, virus removal, data backup, and account help for individuals. No contracts, no minimums, nationwide via remote support. Business services include IT infrastructure, AI implementation, custom software, training, and strategic advisory for companies with 5 to 50 employees.

How does a custom web or software project work?

Every project starts with a scoping conversation where I map out what you need, what you don't, and what order to build it in. You get a fixed scope with a clear deliverable, not an open-ended retainer. I build with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Every project includes responsive design, performance optimization, SEO, and a support window after launch.

What makes Griffin Atlas different from other IT companies?

I have 12 years in IT, starting at Microsoft, then nine years managing infrastructure for organizations where downtime means real consequences. Unlike traditional MSPs, I build the technology I recommend. Janus, the AI concierge on this site, is a working product, not a demo. Small client list, direct access to me personally, no ticket queues, no handoffs to junior staff.
